GRAMMAR CHECK

Well, I’ve certainly had a productive morning.  My wonderful Beta Readers worked extremely hard on my new book, trying to get it ready for publication.  I compared every single thing they had marked.  Most of the time they agreed, but occasionally, there were differences of opinion.

Sometimes, I agreed, sometimes I didn’t.  So after a few hours of going over every single word, comparing the edits, getting opinions from two of my sisters, a cousin, and a niece, I’m ready to begin the daunting task of correcting the original manuscript.

Why, oh why didn’t I pay closer attention in English class?  I loved the literature part, but hated the grammar.  Who knew?

I think I’ve mentioned before that The Color of Thunder is a complete change of pace for me.  I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it.  A little confession here, while I was writing it, I made myself cry a few times.  The Color of Thunder is set for release on August 1, 2019.

New! The Color of Thunder by Elsie Varn Harrell

“Another amazing story by Elsie Varn Harrell!  What a great reminder of the gift available to all of us – if only we choose to accept it.”   V. Green

“If people aren’t touched by this book, they cannot be touched.”  J. Brayton

Joseph is an ambitious new reporter who sees his chance to make a name for himself by taking on a popular local church.  Pastor Thunder fears that his own shortcomings are what’s keeping the young man from becoming a Christian.  However, Joseph is out to prove that you don’t have to be a Christian to be one of the “good guys”.

Their adversarial affiliation gives rise to a strained but close relationship that leaves this unlikely duo questioning their individual beliefs.  They continue to clash-both learning important truths about themselves and each other.  Will the budding reporter realize he may have been wrong in his assumptions or will a scathing expose destroy the church and ruin the pastor’s lifelong ministry?

As the life story of Pastor Thunder unfolds, you’ll laugh, and you’ll cry as you learn exactly what made him the man he is today.
