My dilemma is over. I’m so close to the ending of Shattered Dreams, that I plan to go ahead and finish it next on the agenda. I finally figured out the ending, phew it was a tough one. I knew where I wanted it to end up, just had a hard time getting it there. Josh, Dodge, and Charlie all agreed what needed to happen, but it took the boss man, Phillip, to draw it all together. Just a few more chapters and I’m DONE. then comes the fun part. Edit, edit, edit.
Next on the horizon will be Thou Shalt Not Steal. I have hundreds of ideas for a new series. It will be set around a church and it’s new pastor. I’m going to keep writing in the mystery/suspense genre, but it will happen with the church as the backdrop.
I love reading books that keep you in suspense, so that’s the route I’m taking with my future writing. But you know, in looking back, Fire Light Fire Bright had arson, rape and murder. Dreams Never Lie had kidnapping, rape, torture and murder. Dreams are Forever had kidnapping, murder, plus lots more. However, it was The Color of Thunder, my Christian novel that had to have a disclaimer. The minister, although basically a good guy, had some questionable quirks in his character, and I surely didn’t want any of my pastor friends to think that was what I thought of them.
I hope you enjoy reading The Color of Thunder. If you feel so inclined, please leave a review, they really help. Thank You.
New! The Color of Thunder by Elsie Varn Harrell
‘“Another amazing story by Elsie Varn Harrell! What a great reminder of the gift available to all of us – if only we choose to accept it.” V. Green
“If people aren’t touched by this book, they cannot be touched.” J. Brayton
Their adversarial affiliation gives rise to a strained but close relationship that leaves this unlikely duo questioning their individual beliefs. They continue to clash-both learning important truths about themselves and each other. Will the budding reporter realize he may have been wrong in his assumptions or will a scathing expose destroy the church and ruin the pastor’s lifelong ministry?
As the life story of Pastor Thunder unfolds, you’ll laugh, and you’ll cry as you learn exactly what made him the man he is today.
