HAPPY NOVEMBER HAPPY THANKSGIVING

November finally arrived.  I was so tired of October, wondering what else could possibly happen to ruin the month.  First of all, my oldest daughter became very ill.  She was in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks, the first week being in ICU.  She’s home now and doing much better, but still has a long way to go.  She’s  not back to work as yet, but we’re hoping that will happen soon.

The arthritis in my knee started acting up again, so I went to my orthopedic surgeon to get an injection for the pain.  He wants me to think seriously about knee replacement surgery.  He said the injections were just band-aids and were only masking the pain, but it was time we did something to fix the problem.  I always have a slight reaction to the injections and this time was no different.  Severe headache, two sleepless nights, hot flashes, oh this is so much fun.  But at least I can now walk without limping.

My goal is to write at least one blog a week, but with all this going on, I think I skipped October completely.  I promise to do better.  I’ve finally figured out the ending of Shattered Dreams.  FINALLY.  But now my job is to get the story to go there.  I think I’ve mentioned before that my characters all have a mind of their own.  I plan to do things a certain way, but when I go to write it, they go off on their own tangent, not even thinking about how hard I thought and planned where I wanted to go with the story.

Okay, that’s it for today.  I’ve got to get back to Shattered Dreams and see if I can wrestle control back from my characters.  Have a happy Thanksgiving!!!

Joseph is an ambitious new reporter who sees his chance to make a name for himself by taking on a popular local church.  Pastor Thunder fears that his own shortcomings are what’s keeping the young man from becoming a Christian.  However, Joseph is out to prove that you don’t have to be a Christian to be one of the “good guys”.

Their adversarial affiliation gives rise to a strained but close relationship that leaves this unlikely duo questioning their individual beliefs.  They continue to clash-both learning important truths about themselves and each other.  Will the budding reporter realize he may have been wrong in his assumptions or will a scathing expose destroy the church and ruin the pastor’s lifelong ministry?

As the life story of Pastor Thunder unfolds, you’ll laugh, and you’ll cry as you learn exactly what made him the man he is today.
